So, as previously posted, I have been having a conundrum about my job and my dislike for it and how I was offered a job at a new place for -1$ less, benefits, and vacation time, however that it was 30 minutes away from me when my current job is literally 10 mins down the street...

On Friday, I emailed the new potential job and said, "Sorry, I cant accept, the drive is too far with gas ext ext. but I hope to work with you in future". On Sunday, the owner emailed and called me twice in one day. Today I called her back and she offered to match my current dollar per hour, with benefits, uniform, and vacation time and I have decided to accept! This job also comes with more hours so even with gas money I will be making at least $200 more per month. Yay for me! 

Earlier last week I posted on facebook that I was having trouble finding an emergency tech job as they wanted me to train during the day when I couldnt come in. I had previously worked at a different emergency clinic, but had quit due to school, but was still friends on facebook with some people from the clinic. One girl contacted me and asked me to work one of her shifts which I decided to do on Saturday night. The pay there is %50 less than my current job which is TERRIBLE but I had never asked for a raise. Today, I called my OM over there to have my tax form changed and I got the balls to ask for a raise and I was granted one by $2 more an hour which is better than nothing!!! I also asked that if any permanent shifts open if she would let me know and she said that they were in the processes of getting rid of an overnight Saturday shift and she said once he was gone I could have it!!! YAY!!!!

So I got what I wanted, which is more money, benefits, vacation, and overnight shifts for my condo down payment fund! Yay!!!! My hoping/praying paid off!!!

@julies1949: Im a veterinary technician..so an emergency tech is a technician who works in an emergency clinic.. for most, this means that they are only open during nights/weekends/holidays, usually from 6pm - 8am the next morning during weekdays and 24hr on weekends/holidays.
