Here in Brick, NJ living across the street from a lagoon. . . at high tide this morning the water didn’t overflow. In fact, the water looks pretty low/normal to me (FI and I took a walk across the street to check it out. . . I held on to him because the wind is pretty strong already!) I can see the bay outside my bedroom window. It looks high, but I don’t know what that area of the neighborhood looks like. Fiance wants to take a walk down there before it gets “really bad”, but I said no way! As of now we still have power, which I’m taking advantage of by charging all electronics until I can’t anymore. The wind is definitely picking up and it’s been raining steadily all morning. The worst is expected to be here tonight.
Where are you located and how is it by you?!

I’m in Quarryville, PA (South Central PA) and it is pouring rain here. The wind is starting to pick up. I’m currently stuck at work and really wishing they would just let us go home early. Worst is supposed to start tonight into tomorrow morning.

Stay safe, guys! I have family in Toms River, Brick and Manahawkin. Luckily- they are not on the barriers, but my father lives only a few miles from the bridge. I’m up in Morris county, and thankfully in my town we don’t flood but the towns near me do. My concern is the wind and power outages. During Irene we lost power for almost a week, and I’ve been told we could expect it to be even longer. So not helping the bride stress with my wedding in less than two weeks!

It’s pretty calm here. I’m in western NJ about a mile from the Delaware. Some wind gusts earlier but the rain has stopped for now. Its supposed to hit us hardest between 3 and 9pm tonight.

We’re in Maryland. We’ve had rain since about 5pm yesterday and winds are light-moderate. So far, so good.

I’m near Baltimore. It has been raining here on and off since late yesterday. It’s also little windy at the moment. BGE is reporting around 8,000 power outages right now, and the number is climbing steadily, but we still have power at the moment.

If anyone is curious about New Jersey and what’s going on – check out this very informative site. A lot of people are sharing pictures and videos.

We’re in Hoboken (directly across the Hudson River from NYC for those not from NJ), and the wind and flooding is already crazy. Downtown (which is very low) is completely flooded and even uptown is flooding already.

@Rouquine: Currently have a love/hate relationship with that page. I love being informed but I hate it because it’s freaking me out more!
Power is going in and out at my moms house in bayville… The gusts of wind are definitely getting stronger here.
I’ll be surprised if seaside survives this storm!

In northern NJ here (by the stadiums) not a lot of rain, but very windy. Luckily, no flooding yet.
