Sorry, now I’m confused.  If your last period started on December 22 and your cycles are usually 35-40 days then it would be almost impossible for any test to show pregnant (you probablt wouldn’t have even ovulated yet…), and your HCG levels would definitely not be in the hundreds.

Did you tell them that your last period started on December 22?

Ehh the only suggestion I have is to maybe look into getting a different Dr.?  Even if your period was regular, they should know you most likely wouldn’t have even conceived if your period started on December 22…

I would urge you to have an ultrasound done to check for an ectopic pregnancy. There is so much bleeding and with such a low hCG, I would be concerned. I know you aren’t having pain, but that doesn’t mean anything really, you don’t want to let it go too long and risk a burst tube.

@NEbride2Be:  I’m so sorry you are going through this. I’m glad your doctor is being proactive. I hope you figure this out soon.

Well there are a few women who do “bleed heavy” and still have a healthy pregnancy. I had the same thing happen to me twice with both possible outcomes. Once was ruled an ectopic miscarriage and the second well.. im 26w pregnant. Depending on where your progesterone level is at I think it can go either way. My MC p level was 3 where as my current pregnancy’s level was 17 and I had a history of low progesterone. Try and hang in there Until you get the second numbers back.

PS due to the wonkiness of my period but still pregnant dates the doctors /us techs initially used a date that didnt make sense either so don’t worry about it much now. They weren’t going by the date just using it as reference.

ETA: I just saw your update about your p levels. Hmm assuming its the normal measurement of ng/ml I’d say its a MC but you need to be closely watched to make sure those levels are dropping. *hugs* I’m sorry you are going through this.

*hugs*  I’m so sorry to hear your update.  Sounds sooo much like what happened to me 2 years ago.  Thinking of you and sending tons of prayers your way.  *hugs*
