@s2bmrscook:

They look totally different to me.

I think you have the right idea in planning to take your original set to a different jeweler.

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this!!

@s2bmrscook:  Wow, those are not even close to the same ring. I would definitely be getting the original set back and finding another jeweler, asap. Best of luck, and I’m sorry this happened!

@s2bmrscook:  I can see the difference also, I prefer a more petite halo myself so I do like the original more, that being said I also like it as it is soldiered, but I know that’s not exactly how you wanted it done, best of luck with everything!

@s2bmrscook:  they look like the regular ring and the stand in ring of each other. The size of the halo is different.  The stone from the first ring has a higher crown. The second ring also had a thicker band of white gold around the top of the halo.  Do they maybe have a different location? Is getting your money back just out of the question.

They absolutely could not have been ordered under the same sku number…they are different rings…somewhat similar…but they are not the same ring!  Do you think that you will pay for the old one to be fixed? If so, do you have a maximum set in your head as to what you will pay? Can you hold these people responsible? I would make them reorder you another new one because they didn’t provide you with the exact replacement, which they most certainly should do and be responsible for!  This situation just sucks and Im so sorry that you have to deal with this.  Its so annoying!

I do not know how anyone would think they’re the same! The new one is no where near as nice. That sucks!

Wow, they look completely different. I agree, the centre stone in the second ring is smaller than the stone in your original ring, WTF?? I’m hoping that you get some kind of compensation for that, seeing as you said you can’t get your money back without returning everything. They have you a different ring!
