That is good. I am glad that they were able to solve it at their level.
Thank goodness! It still freaks me out that they kept your banking info on file though and were able to withdraw money after the fact. I wonder how many other people they've taken money from who didn't realize it...

@zippylef: Have you written any Yelp reviews or anything about them? You might want to add that into one if you haven't already.
So, I looked on yelp and look what I found. This was posted 10 days before the charge from our account.
"This hotel has the worst billing department I have ever encountered. I pre-paid for a room, which I was subsequently re-charged for not once but TWICE. The second charge was six months after my stay. Unreal."
I am going to leave my own review.
Yay! I'm so glad to hear you got it back! That review is verry telling, maybe you should put a vendor review on here too.

We got our money back!
After the hotel giving us all the run-around for weeks, my mother finally got ahold of the head of the accounting department and ripped her a new one. The lady very promptly looked it up in their computers and issued us a refund. She talked to her on a Thursday and the $1000 was back in our account Monday morning.
Woo! Didn't even have to go through my bank!
