I finally went dress shopping and had a few that the group liked. What does everyone think? Any other styles I should try? I am going to try on again this Saturday (though I don’t get many on with the limited amount of time – never knew how long it took to get them on)!

@ducky244: I think all of these styles look very nice on you, but I really like #1 and #3! I ended up voting for #1 because I think the slimmer skirt is slightly more flattering.

I’m very much liking dress #2. I’d perhaps alter the neckline very slightly to make it more sweetheart but other than that, it looks great on you.

I voted for 1 but 4 is also really pretty – that’s a lot of good dresses for one trip!

@ducky244: I dont think you look bad in any of them!! I just purchased my dress 2 weeks ago and I tried on some that were HORRIBLE looking. The 4th one is probably my least favorite. But I really love #2 and #3 on you. They are very soft and feminine and I think that sillouette looks very good on you 🙂 very flattering. I also love #1 as it is also feminine and classic with the lace. I would probably opt for a different sash on #1 to really bump it up a bit 😉 which was your favorite?

@ducky244: Oh! and as for the “broad shoulders” I think you look lovely and you should not be concerned about that as a nice necklace will break up all that empty space with a strapless dress and draw attention away from them. Also a veil if you choose to wear one. I thought the same thing but those extra touches help a lot!

Dress #3 is SO stunning on you!
And I love dress #2. It’s a SERIOUS princess dress!

In terms of your shoulders, I wouldn’t worry about the dress itself because if you’re self-conscious, think about a few things:
– a veil that is fingertip/floor length/generally goes past the shoulders will cover them up
– have your hair down or half up or a side ponytail so some of it sits on your shoulders, I feel like I’m noticing them more with your hair back
– I would try on a few other necklines just to compare, all of these are sweetheart style, I’m not sure if it’s the most flattering on you, but it could just be because it’s all pre-alterations so it’s not tight enought yet
– I don’t think I would’ve even noticed a shoulder issue unless you’d mentioned it
hope that helps! the dresses themselves all look great on you!

I love dress 2!! 4 is really great on your figure, too.

@ducky244: I LOVE how #4 looks on you! Your waist looks so tiny!

I dont think you have broad shoulders at all, so either you’re more self-conscious than you need to be, you’re picking great dresses, or your photographer is great 😉 My favorite dress is 4 (but thats my favorite style) or 1 if you’re going for a more smaller skirt. You look lovely!!

I like 1 and 3, but I think 3 is my favorite

@ducky244: You look great in all of them and I don’t think you have broad shoulders at all. Maybe you should try one with straps if you are self conscious though?
My favourite out of this set is dress #4 because it really gives you a defined waist and I like the detail on the side.

I like number 3, but if you are very self conscious about your shoulders, I suggest getting sleeves or a halter dress.

Your figure looks amazing in 3 and 4 but I like 3 the best! You look beautiful 🙂
