My post wedding party is on Oct 4th. So I made an appointment at a salon who got some good reviews for updo’s. They’re starting price is 65 and it goes from there. I’m not having a veil or anything special other than maybe a small decorative comb or something.
I found the business card to my old hair stylist who left the salon I always go to. The salon where she works charges $90. She’s always done a good job on my hair, and I’d feel a little more comfortable going to her vs someone I don’t know who may only do a so so job.
What do you think bees? Is 90 plus tip too much?

@Pixie26: Bridal hair isn’t cheap. I paid $125.00 to have my hair done (she came to me though) and my bridesmaids were $75.00 a piece.
Updos are elaborate and require a great deal of time. It also depends on how much hair you have. I have a TON so in highschool I always had to pay extra when I got my hair done for prom/dances.
To be honest $90.00 isn’t a lot to pay for peace of mind with a professional you trust.

Wow am I getting lucky! My stylist is charging me and my girls only $25 for an updo. She works on her own and is not affiliated with a salon (she cuts my hair in her kitchen). When I was in a wedding a couple years ago I went to a salon for an updo and she charged $40. I thought that was expensive!
