It sounds like you want a chignon, try google imaging just “chignon” most of these pictures and hundreds more will come up.

This was my hair in my wedding day. Sorry for the huge pic! I actually got a fun bun from Sally’s that matched my hair perfectly! It was on the low side but still more in the middle of my head to allow room for my veil. And I originally had a ribbon sash with that flower on my dress but I chose not to wear it and made it a hair peice instead. The updo literally took 15 minutes and I loved it! It was classy and I didn’t have to deal with it at all the entire night! Also, it was 98 degrees with 90% humidity on my wedding day and I didn’t have to worry about it going flat either since most of it was fake!
