I think it’s gorgeous! I would not say that this set is dated at all. Congrats on 30  years of marriage!!

@bnamrs4evr:  That set looks beautiful, but with a 1.5-2 carat center, it’ll be a showstopper!

It’s a classic look and I don’t think it’s a dated style at all. I’m in my mid 20s and got a solitaire engagement ring just so I can emulate that look with anniversary bands.

Very classic, and I can’t picture it ever going out of style.  Congrats on 30 years…and what sounds like a wonderful husband. 🙂

Can we see a pic of your existing set? The set you posted is pretty classic and won’t look dated. That style is always “in style”.

@bnamrs4evr:  Now this is how you upgrade – after many years of marriage!! Congrats on 30+ years!

There are definitely some similarities between your current set and the new potential set, but I don’t think that means you’re stuck in a time warp. The new set is stunning!! As others have mentioned, with the size of diamond you’re thinking about, it will be unreal. I can’t tell from the pictures though…is it yellow gold or white gold (or platinum)? Since your current set is yellow gold, perhaps a white metal might be a nice change for you. That said, I think yellow gold is so classic. I’m excited to see what you decide on 🙂

@bnamrs4evr:  Ring shopping in the dark ages! Too funny! I can relate to that as my husband and I will be celebrating our 30th anniversary next month. Love the upgrade you’re considering. It’s gorgeous. Here’s a picture of my recently restyled ring with new wedding band. Congratulations on 30 plus years of marriage.

I absolutely love the rings you have here. they seem timeless enough, I can’t see them going out of style.

one thing: I think this set would look better with just one wedding band. I’ve always thought that 2 bands flanking the e-ring looks too chunky, but that’s just me.
