@moderndaisy - definately not the same. My old set combined was about 1/5 carat. This one is significantly larger...finally, my mom will shut up about how "small" my ring is!

Nice! My mom upgrades every 10 years and still loves getting the "holy moly, look at the new sparkly on my left hand!" feeling!
Gorgeous! It looks kind of like a Verragio (my new favorite ring designer). What are you going to do for a band? Or are you going to go band-less?
Hm...I'm really not sure. I may go bandless, or I may switch it to my right hand when I get a wedding band. I guess it all depends on what's out there and what we end up with. I might be able to talk him into a custom band when the time comes ;)
We have very similar rings, except mine is three stone and my diamonds are much smaller. Haha. :) It is BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE IT! :D

We got engaged in December 08, with a small Craigslist-bought set. FI promised to upgrade me when we had the money, but I was happy with what I had. Well, he made good on the promise this Christmas by getting me a beautiful new ring!
I just had to share with you all! I'm so excited!
