do you have a more in focus pic? I wouldnt have thought anything of it if you didn’t say anything. What are the stats?

Unfortunately once you notice something like that it’s all you see! Could you get a better clarity if you went to like 1.75? Would still be very large! Or is carat size the priority to you.

I can see the spot but surprisingly it doesn’t bother me.

You should probably look into getting your rings resized though. They’re very tight.

The spot is very small and doesn’t bother me at all..id keep it..I doubt its even noticeable in real life..otherwise its a gorgeous diamond and looks to be ideal cut..id rather have a gorgeous ideal cut diamond with one tiny spot in the center then a diamond thats got several inclusions on the edges..

i would prefer to have a smaller diamond than one that has an eye visible inclusion.  At higher carat weights, an I1 will not be “eye clean”.  You also posted a thread with this at pricescope right? I saw it there but did not comment.  I think you received a lot of great advice there.  I think if you were completely happy with the ring you wouldnt be searching out so many opinions.  Maybe you can have more diamonds brought in and find one with some inclusions that may be able to be covered by a prong?

lauleebon:  I hear ya.  Pricescope is all about ideal cut stones which i personally think is a good thing(i wouldn’t have the amazing rings i have now without the help of pricescope!), but its not right for everyone.  I think because the inclusion is in the middle of the table that would bother me, but i think if they are bringing in more diamonds, you have time to keep wearing it and figure out if it is something that would really bother you in the future.  Whether or not a bunch of people online can see it or not you have already “seen” it…can you look past it?  can you unsee it? or is it something your eyes will always go to and make you upset?  i think these are the questions that need to be answered.  I know when i see a flaw in anything, i will be so bothered and i fixate on it.  So if you are like that, you may not be able to enjoy the ring the way you should be able to.  Good luck and i hope you find a good resolution!

lauleebon:  It’s lovely and the spot wouldn’t bother me. I consider diamond imperfections to be like freckles. They make it unique. Plus it kind of just looks like a fish eye that some diamonds can have.

It’s not all about the size of the diamond in the ring!

It’s a beautiful stone, but that inclusion is very noticable and would bother me. The arrows in it are gorgeous, though.

I think the stone is really nice! It wouldnt bother me, but both rings look a little small… maybe resize up 1/4 or 1/2 size
