@apringgles:  For me, it would depend on the setting. In general, I don’t love oval diamonds, but I have seen some settings that were absolutely gorgeous!

@apringgles:  My mom has an almost 3-carat round brilliant that I dislike on her. If you have a small finger size, I’d go for the 3 carat oval since it’s more elongated. My mom and I are both size 4, and her diamond literally covers the width of her finger. It’s not a look I’m a fan of because it makes her finger look shorter than it is.

Round. I just don’t like oval shaped anything.

@apringgles:  I looove big rounds! I have a soft spot for ovals as well, but the rounds steal my heart. I always think of this photo – she has a 2.5ish ct diamond, found her photos on pricescope (I think!)

I think I’d go with round, personally. Unless the oval was better quality.

@apringgles:  I was totally stuck on round or oval when we were ring shopping! They’re both beautiful.
Ovals tend to have a larger table, so a 3ct will look quite impressive! Do you have photos of a ring style in mind?

You’re more than welcome, it’s my favorite photo of a solitaire + stack!

I would die if I had a 3ct oval!
