- Wedding: January 2011
Our venue is a place where eeevvveeerrryyyone has been to at least once. One of my relatives is using the room we are using for our wedding for a party about a month before our wedding. It’s a great room, a lot of people use it! And I was thinking of ways to personalize our wedding a bit and make it a little different, just so that our family will go in and kind of feel like they weren’t just there a month prior! 🙂
So I was thinking “oh, uplights! Perfect!” (as popular as they are otherwise) As it stands, our reception will end at 9pm in August, and if I recall correctly, the sun sets officially at about 8:30 around that time.
There’s windows along one wall and I do love natural light… But does anyone know: Does uplighting just flat out not work if there’s natural light coming in at all? Or does the uplighting take over? I am hoping it takes over!
oy… and I’m sitting here really thinking about it like “of course it will work! it must work! why am I asking?” lol! I’ve just been thinking about it the last few days and am really curious! I’ve only been to one wedding with uplighting and it was pretty dark out the whole time. I remember how neat it was that they changed the colors for each song and it sort of matched the moods too.
