I’m not sure about this.  Do you have a neighbor who could sign for them?  Or can you just have them left by a back door (if you have a house)?  We live in an apartment complex and the management office signs for packages when we’re not home.  Sometimes the UPS and FedEx people leave packages by the door, though, so we left a note that asked them to please take them to the office.  That worked out well for us, mostly (one package was sent back to the sender… but that was a major snafu on FedEx’s part).

hmmm, our deliveries seem to vary by deliveryman (not just company!). Sometimes they’ll leave them outside our door (apartment complex, controlled access) and sometimes we’ll get a card in our mailbox that it’s available at the post office the next day. So if they are doing the latter, you can always have the Post Office hold your mail for a week, but if they are normally dropping packages at your door, I’d maybe check out the links Beckster provided and then call the local UPS/FedEx store and have them note your address as a “hold” or something of that sort.

Wow – collectively, the Bees think of every single thing you need to know to get married.

Thanks so much for those links, @Beckster329:

Wow this is a very good question. I think we are going to put my parents address down for the registry so that the things will be delivered there while we are on our honeymoon. We would live nearby so it’s convenient.

@sommertime I did the same thing. Also, we live in the city and my parents are in the country and my dad is retired, so I felt packages being delivered there was safer than to my home when FI and I work all day.
