I know that there’s no way to “fix” the rain, but I’m a superstitious person… and rain is supposed to bring you good luck!

Best wishes, and fingers crossed for a dry day.

Can you call them and ask their decoration policy if it rains?

vlzaccaria: I’m so sorry! That’s why I was so skeptical about an outdoor event 🙁 🙁 🙁

I’ve been researching this myself, but as far as photography, consider some cute back up photos. I just ordered a big, clear golf umbrella and my MOH is letting me borrow her Hunter rain boots just in case. There are tons of rainy day pics on Pinterest that are so cute and still beautiful. Obviously, don’t go out in a tropical storm, though!

Good luck!!

There was a high percent chance of rain on my wedding day – actually it was thunderstorming when we were getting our hair and make up done! But it ended up clearing up for the ceremony and started raining again right afterward! My wedding was also outside, I didn’t really have a back up plan but could move it in the reception space if necessary. I wouldn’t stress… although it is unfortunate if it were to rain you did choose to take the chance by having the wedding outside. And remember – you just can’t change the weather (seems the weather forecasts always change as well!) It will turn out beautiful and perfect no matter what the weather does!! Besides, rain in pictures looks awesome, especially with a cool umbrella 🙂

vlzaccaria: I used to live in SE Fl, isn’t this the rainy/hurricane season? June to December I think you take your chances!

vlzaccaria: Hang in there. It won’t be the end of the world. You will be so happy that day regardless, I promise.

It rained and was unseasonably cold (50 degrees in beginning of Sept) for my wedding. Couldnt do our outside ceremony ( I had NO decor for the inside either, lol), couldn’t take all the amazing outdoor pics in a beautiful park that we wanted…and I still had the most amazing day ever. Find some nice inside places to take pictures. It will all be ok!

vlzaccaria: Sending you lots of good vibes! My wedding was on Saturday, October 26 last year and we took pics in Ft. Lauderdale, wedding took place in Miami Beach. I didn’t have any rain, and i’m keeping my fingers crossed for you. In fact, we’re taking a little Miami vacation this weekend so i’m selfishly hoping for some great weather too!

Hey I use weather.gov. I can’t stand the weather channel for weather – other than their radar. In any event, for Saturday it says “A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Breezy” To me that says that it won’t be the whole day. Keep an open mind. And I’m not an expert, but I would advise calling everyone on your guest list to just say hello and warn them to bring an umbrella and boots just in case.

vlzaccaria: I posted a recap of my rainy wedding day if you want to see…we tried to get around the rain by posing underneath dooways so that is something to remember 🙂 I would maybe shoot your photographer if they are local to FL and ask them to come up with some rain plans for pictures
