Go with them, you’re in good hands. My husband and I went with them and our wedding photos turned out great! Nice little company, they’re attentive to their clients. I asked about them and a friend recommended them to us and we were not disappointed at all!

Give them a call, go with your gut and have a fabulous wedding!

Wishing you the best!

Oh wow thank you honey for your response!

Just like you I wanted to be extremely sure and certain that they were right for me on my wedding day. When I first started planning, I wanted all the information possible on everything and it drove me crazy trying to get every detail until I realized that I just have to go with my gut for some things. High prices, low prices, I went with people that treated me right, that offered great value and gave me what I ultimately wanted, which were some great photos of my wedding.

Again, my long time friend from TCU recommended them to me, we were about four months until our wedding and we had no photographer at the moment. I didn’t know about them initially. I had already stressed about my cake, the venue and the guest list so at that point I just wanted to feel things out. I contacted them and after an initial conversation, I felt they were right for me. Why?

They were really attentive. They asked me what I wanted, what I was interested in which for me was refreshing because the few I had spoken to prior were immediately trying to sell themselves over and over and selling their vision. They were desperate and I don’t like desperate honey. I didn’t WANT their vision, I wanted MY vision. The Urbane folks got that, I went with my gut and booked them.

My hubby and I met our photography team, Sam and Jacob about two weeks before our wedding date. Loved their style, I thought we had a great conversation, loved everything about them except the fact that Sam was a Redskins fan. o_O I was pretty comfortable with their technique, their attention to detail and their willingness to go the extra mile for us. We gave the deposit and didn’t look back!

We got married at the Denton, Sam and Jacob were there early and proceeded to take lots of photos and didn’t stop snapping the entire day! We had very big wedding but I saw them moving about taking photos of everyone. We enjoyed working with them and our photos were phenomenal! Can’t say any more than that! 🙂

My advice for what it’s worth? Have fun and enjoy planning your wedding and remember, just go with your gut sweetie. Call them, if you like them, great! If not, then maybe it isn’t for you.

Hope that helps!

@loveroflovers84:  I HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN THE WORLD WITH THEM. they are super frauds. i dropped $1,000 and lost all of it. they aren’t returning my emails or phone calls. christopher collins allegedly stopped working their. his cell phone number is disconnected. i sent 50 text messages to his cell before it magically stopped working and then finally a response from some video editing guy.  see they use paypal who won’t refund the money after 40 days. so i am screwed basically by these morons. DO NOT HIRE THEM. THEY WILL MAKE YOU MISERABLE.

Like others, I think I’ve been scammed as well. We hired Urbane for videography to capture highlights of our wedding 5/10/13. Initially, Christopher Collins and Travis Collier (the contacts) were very responsive and organized. They quickly responded to emails. The contract and deposit (read: payment) were so organized and straight forward as well. Even up to the point of the wedding when the inquired about the timeline and to which I sent them.

I thought everything was going well. Our videographer even texted/called us before the wedding to double check arrangements and where to meet. That’s when we realized, we were only getting 1 videographer though Chris and the contract had noted 2. We didn’t initially think it was a big deal (because the videographer was doing a great job of trying to be everywhere at once), but afterwards realized we paid for 2 and should have had 2.

Afterwards, we contacted the Urbane (via email) and made them aware of this to which they said “It’s ok – you are paid in full”. We had only paid 50% (the deposit), but we thought “Ok fine, they want us to be happy and gave us a big discount.”

Fast forward to now (the wedding was 5.10.13) – 2 months later and imagine our surprise when we contact the company email receiving a message that they’re bankrupt and another company is taking over for them. Imagine our surprise when we emailed this new company with no response. Imagine our surprise when we called the company with a message stating “Voicemail is full”. Apparently there is no way to contact them. My family is in Houston, TX so maybe I will stop by over at their offices when I’m in town so I can actually speak to a real, live human being. Anyone in Texas do this yet?

The last thing I’ve done is contact our videographer without a response as of yet. He seemed young and friendly and hopefully will be informative and understanding with what happened. We just want even just the raw footage at this point, but I’m not so sure we’ll even get this.  🙁  So sad.  We wanted something to show our kids in the future and we wanted to see our first dance which was special because we took dancing classes and had choreography for it, but I’m thinking that it’s a lost cause.

I too was a victim to this company!!! I found Urbane Wedding Company online and chose them to be my videographer for my wedding in Kauai on August 20th. They had great prices and my contact was Christopher Collins. He said they are available to do videography in Kauai for our wedding. On April 5th I paid a deposit of $375 through paypal. About one month before my wedding, which was yesterday I emailed him to follow up on details on our big day. I get a bounce back email. I try going on their website and it was deleted. I tried calling numbers and they are disconnected. I searched the internet and read many recent complaints that other brides got scammed by Urbane Wedding Company.

I tried filing a claim through Paypal but it exceeded the 45 days. I tried calling my bank, but they cannot do anything because the transaction was thru paypal. Please help and please catch these people! They took my money and ran!
