Really – its impossible to tell how a dress will look on you until you try it on!  Is there anywhere near you where you can try those dresses on (or at least a similar style so you can see how it looks on your body)?

I think the trumpet would look fantastic on a curvy body! While the princess is pretty, I do think that your curves might either look bulky or your great figure not necessarily displayed in the most flattering way. I think the trumpet would flatter you tremendously and the dress itself is extremely pretty.

I would go with the second dress for two reasons. If you have curves, then i think you should try to accentuate them instead of hide them in the full skirt of the first one. Second, if you are larger chested your girls may try to fall out of the top of the first one. That’s just my guess, i’m as flat chested as they come so i don’t know how bigger boobs behave 🙂

@legnerk:  I’ll be honest, considering your shape, you’re probably going to have to tailor either dress in to your waist.  Your waist isn’t the same size as your butt and boobs (I’m the same way!  Junk in the trunk and 34DD boobs to match.) and you have to order the dress big enough to fit the biggest part of you.  Unfortunately, it just something that us not-all-one-size women have to deal with!

I think the first dress would be more forgiving with tailoring though as you don’t have to worry about your butt and it isn’t designed to skim/hug your body the whole way down (which would probably require more tailoring to make it hug right everywhere than just taking in the waist of the first dress).

I am shaped similarly to you. DDD chest, hourglass, and 5’3″. i would definitely go with dress #2. I think it is way more flattering on a curvy body. I also think the dress is absolutely beautiful.  The shape is very similar my dress. Wish I had a picture of me in it to show you, but here is the dress on the hangar.
