Please show pics of what you did or are going to with the Tolsby Frames.
I'm thinking of using them for my table numbers
I was so close to buying those for my table numbers. Ended up going for an unfinished frame that I painted instead.
I used them. They were a little low, but still cute. I printed cards with the table names on one side and the menu on the other. I'll see if I can find a pic. We put a famous movie quote on the placecard and they had to find the movie it matched...very casual wedding...only 10 tables.
I originally saw the frames in a blogger bee post. I don't remember her icon, but I think it was Miss Dolphin.
No pics yet but we're spray painting them gold and using them to display our table numbers on one side and the menu on the other.
ETA: For full disclosure, the frames don't actually come with glass which I was a little bummed about at first. There are 2 plastic inserts that come with each frame but they're stamped with this black symbol so they can't be displayed. The frames are still nice but that is something that I would have liked to know prior to purchasing mine.

@UpstateCait: The black stamp is on a piece of film you should be able to peel off so you can still use the plastic :)

i need 6-8 of these, and they are just £1.00 ($0.70) what a bargain!
i have 6 tables, some seating 8 and some seating 4, i am thinking the larger tables need 2 and the sm8aller tables will just need 1.
do they only come in the white? i love them (and their cost), but i'm wondering how informal the white will look. also, @Miss Tattoo didn't you say they were impossible to find cos they were always out of stock?
My wedding isn't for another 10 months and I bought 20 of these as we're looking at 150-200 guests. It's just stashed in my closet now lol. I was going to put a table number/county name on one side, and a picture of us in that country on the other side.
For those who painted theirs...was it easy to do and how? spray paint?
I wouldn't worry about "in stock" issues. I went this weekend worried i wouldn't find them. Ikea in Bolingbrook IL had 4,000 of them!
I bought 30 for my May 27th wedding. I will will be sellin them to a "bee" hopefully.
@CripsyRN Use a spray paint thats made for shiny plastic.
KRYLON FUSION would be best.
OMG, I just went to IKEA last night. My future sister in law had never been. I saw these frames there and bought 20 of them for table number, not knowing how popular they are at weddings. Well I thought about them all night, and this morning I came online to find info if anyone had painted theres and I came to the bee and found post after post of people using these for there weddings! how crazy... I guess I am not the only one who knows a good deal when they see it plus I love the idea that it is double sided!

Running to Ikea...
so I went to buy spray paint they were out of matte black and since I didnt want shinny and I didnt want to go to another store, I was being lazy plus I had a two year old with me... I went for something else. I got the Krylon Fusion for plastic but in black textured shimmer... and now it wont let me upload the pictures... i'll try again later...

We used them for our table numbers. I put burlap in the middle and our cardstock tablenumbers on either side. They turned out really cool because you could kind of see through the burlap.
Here are the ones I made for my sister's wedding! We loved the frames so much that I'll be recycling them and using them for my upcoming wedding! Sorry the picture isn't more of a close up. We hot glued two tissue flower pom poms on the side.
Yesterday i bought 10 of these frames for 79p each! $1.20
i intend to put a menu on one side and table name on the other. my table names are 1940-50s leading ladies, Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly etc....for my vintage wedding.
i will design the menus and table names in Photoshop, then save them at 6 x 4 inches, and have them printed out as photographs......i'll need 20 so thats pretty cheap to print out 20 photos at the store.

Does anyone have a similar frame that would hold landscape pics? I just found these on the Ikea website, and they would be PERFECT for my table names, but we are going to use some pictures horizontally.

bump! I love these frames, but I am using pictures and some are landscape - any ideas?
We're using these frames for our tables too. Since I already have table numbers, I think we're going to put some "fun" facts about us on one side with a picture of us on the other side.
I used Krylon black shimmer spray paint here they are finally done...
