I often check the support threads, don’t ask me why because I don’t know! hahaha
There are always loads of requests for username changes and I always wonder what prompted the poster to make the request.
You can remain anon if you want, I am just curious.

My previous username was strictly related to wedding planning and I wasn’t really planning on sticking around afterwards. Well my wedding was in April and TADA…I’m still here lol.
So I changed it to something more generic.

I just got bored of my old one, and I use it in a few other places so I decided to change it.
Mine was something I thought people who know me could identify me by too easily. And I had posted some things when I was first on here that I wouldn’t really want them to see (thank goodness for the self-deletion ability!).
I plan on changing mine after the wedding. 🙂
Post # 7
When I created my account I used my last name, not thinking I would really use Weddingbee all that much. After posting pictures of myself and my dress I decided I needed to be a bit more careful.

@Creiddylad: how do you delete old posts??
I found Weddingbee while searching for a stackable wedding band. I created an account thinking I would just lurk at rings and used a username that I use for everything. After reading for a while, I thought I might want to contribute. I decided to change it really more for people I know finding me (incase I post something personal). I never really thought about a bee figuring out who I was, but I guess that is a good reason too!

@cooperlove: When you go to a thread you’ve written, there’s a little link somewhere on the top-ish right side, just above the title line, I think, that says “Delete this thread.” You only get 3 thread deletions in your account, forever (and that still applies even if you change your username while keeping the same account– it wouldn’t apply if you just got a whole new WB account). So, because there are only 3, you have to pick and choose pretty carefully. Luckily I only had 2 that were really embarrassing! I’m saving the 3rd just in case I need it for wedding planning stress getting to me and making me post something terrible. . . 😛 Hopefully I will be better about what I write and that won’t happen!

@vorpalette: Me too– or maybe after I get engaged!
I literally just changed mine…my old username was the same username I used for everything. I finally decided that it was too obvious and people might recognize it

I got married. My original username was FutureMrsKMM but once I was married, the future was no longer applicable! 🙂

Thanks for the responses ladies 🙂
I was a longtime lurker before I ever started posting, so I remember people by their avi’s. If you change your name AND your Avi, well you’ve lost me lol.
I was asked or threatend to change my name after they decided to have the breakfast generation…with a MissWaffles….(i was MissWaffles before they came up with that generation) and was very sad to have to chnage my name…or my account would have been deleted by Adminstration….
So hoping they never come up with a MissParrot cuz I will prob leave weddingbee if forced to change my name yet again…

I used a username that I use everywhere and didn’t want some people to google my old one and connect my WB account. I don’t care though that my face is shown here.
