No, but the title of your post made me laugh... Your own personal lent, huh? Wishing you the best!
Our wedding is on the same day, and I'm right there with you! No refined carbs, cutting back on the sugar, and no booz (except for my bachelorette party, of course).
It's motivating to know there's someone else out there doing the "OMG it's only 38 days away" prep with me!
Personal lent...that's awesome. Being Catholic, I had to check this post out especially with that title.
Good luck with your personal lent!
I should do that too! Not eating chocolate only works for me during LENT, but I try it other times, but it doesn't work!
@DecemberBride - Yeah, I'm right there with you, Sister. Doesn't it feel like the whole wedding is a runaway train at this point? I've actually calmed down so much in the past few weeks cause I feel like I've done everything I can do.
Hah! Better weight loss than penitential flagellation - you go, girl!
Ha HA.
I'm not sure if that's Catholic guilt. But if it gives you extra will power to get through it, you could offer it up as penance.
Jacqui is right---the Sundays of Lent don't count toward the 40 days. :) So you should allow yourself a small treat on Sundays. Besides, it's easier to do something if you give yourself a little wiggle room than if you insist on total obedience. Good luck!!

The other day I realized it was exactly 40 days till the wedding. So I've enstated a personal Lent. No booze, refined sugars or white carbs until D-Day. I've made it 3 days, let's see how the other 37 go.
Has anyone else used bizarre psychology to try and accomplish weight loss goals?
