Using doilies to line envelope

I think it could be really pretty.  I love envelope liners.  We just scanned different patterned papers and material until we found what we liked.  Then printed on plain paper.  We even cut out the first liner and scanned that so the shape was already on the copies.  It saved time not having to trace it over and over, and no wasted ink. It worked great.  I love the doily idea but don’t know about the sizes unless I saw them.  Sometimes trial and error works best.  I think a white doily in a colored envelope would be fab!

@SouthernBee33:  I love the sound of it.  I really love the doily and the twine.  The burlap would be what I would try leaving out if you think its too much.  You just have to play around until you like it.  Post a pic if you can. 

We did my daughter’s invites and they sound crazy (white invite, pink rsvp, gold reception card, silver directions card, gray rehearsal dinner card, tied with pale pink tulle and throw in a few sequins and snowflakes in a patterned lined envelope) but they really are kind of neutral.  I swear! They really are.
