i’ve thought about getting like craft paper to put on top of the tablecloths for the rehearsal dinner (we have a rustic theme anyways…) as to not mess up the tablecloths…
do you have any other ideas? did you have the same problem? how did it turn out??

Hm.. I don’t know. I’m not sure where you got your tablecloths from – I bought mine from linentablecloth, and even though they are satin, most of the reviews have said that they had success with running them through the washer.
If you could run yours through the washer, I think it’d be a good idea to reuse them.
However, if you couldn’t wash them, I don’t think I’d reuse them. I mean, even if you’re just having dinner, things get spilled, dripped, or dirty on the tablecloths. Maybe not each and every one, but probably at least a couple.

@amandasouthcarolina: How many people will be at the rehearsal dinner? Is it too much financially to get more cloths? Or use something different?
I wouldn’t want to try to use them twice even if they were topped with something else. I can’t imagine trying to fit laundering tablecloths into your schedule.
Why not just use the kraft paper? Give your guests crayons and markers and have some fun. Or draw on the place settings.

@julies1949: thanks! yeah, i think i’m going to go with craft paper. i’m renting my linens and they are SO expensive so i really, really don’t want to rent twice as much. we are having pizza at the rehearsal dinner, so hopefully it won’t be TOO messy.
