I used Zazzle for my customized stamps and I definitely paid a premium for them, but I couldn't help it! They were just so darn cute! Just be warned about the way the stamps are put on the sheet. I turned a protrait stamp horizontally and when they came, you can tell it was a bit distorted and stretched. Also, if you don't expedite shipping, it will take the full 2 weeks to receive them, so if you need them in a rush, definitely consider paying for the expedited shipping.
quick question about zazzle: does it print zazzle.com on all stamps? on the website's stamp designer it seemed like i couldn't get rid of that. does anyone know of any other service for custom stamps that doesn't print its logo or name on the stamps?
zazzle does in fact have their imprint on the stamp....I'm not sure if you custom make a stamp from anywhere that it won't have that, but I could be wrong.

The USPS sent out a card saying they now do personalized stamps. I went to the website and it turns out that they just have links to the four USPS approved personalized stamp websites: Your Stamps, PhotoStamps, Zazzle, and PictureItPostage. It's not a great deal or anything, but it's a good roundup of what's available if you're trying to decide. http://www.usps.com/postagesolutions/customizedpostage.htm?from=holidayhome&page=createcustpostage
