Did you use 46 cent stamps?  That could be why.  If they are over the alotted weight or are a non-standard size, they require 66 cent stamps.  Try this: http://weddingstamps.us/usps

It’s annoying, but not the end of the world.

There isn’t much you can do, but I’m the vindictive type who would go to the post office with the invitation I sent myself and ask why the same envelope costs 20 cents more now.

It’s possible that the person who took in your one invitation didn’t pay as much attention as the person who is processing a stack of them. Did you have them weighed and measured before you mailed them to ensure you had the proper amount of postage on them?

At this point there’s not much you can do, except hope they’re all returned to you for insufficient postage so that you can fix it before your guests are hit with the cost.

That’s annoying. I guess if you have a website you can apologize for the error. Blame the USPS!

Yeah I don’t understand that… Unless because it wasn’t travelling out of your local postal service area?  I’m sorry you got stuck by the USPS.  I wonder why they didn’t return them all to you for lack of postage.  You could have added 20 cent stamps to each one and resent them.  No one ever said the USPS was the smartest bunch of government employees.

@Pumpkin_Bee:  I had a nightmare with my invitations, too. They sent some back to me. It ended up only being a handful, and the rest were delivered without issue. So, hopefully the same happens for you.

@Pumpkin_Bee: That sucks! There’s nothing you can do now, so if guests contact you, apologize, and make a joke about it in your speech at the wedding. It sucks and clearly you feel terrible about it, but at this point, just chalk it up as a learning experience.

@Pumpkin_Bee:  i would go back to the post office and ask why they delivered yours and not the others?  did you have them weighed?
