the only posts I've seen on utah boards are EXTREMELY old so I wanted to see if there's any Utah brides out there like me!!

Hey! I'm an Utah Bride too! I've been engaged since September, and have set the date for August 18, 2012. We narrowed down ceremony and reception to Market Street Grill. But have since decided on maybe a small destination wedding in Maui, Hawaii. We figured, if we're going to pay big bucks for a wedding, we might as well get a vacation out of it as well. Things aren't 100% set in stone yet, but thinking of having my big day in Hawaii puts a smile on my face.

Congrats to you and your FI! Only a few more months to go! :)

@niters: Hi just saw your reply!! yay glad to see another Utah bride!! what day did you get engaged?? i got engaged september as well on the 17th :)

oh wow Hawaii would be way nice.. will it a be a small wedding or a big one??

I wish we were going somewhere lol with just a small group of people.. but instead we're having a big wedding.. ah stressful! & thank you! congrats to you too :)

I'm in Utah, and I also got engaged in September! I guess it's a popular month :) my reception will be at a wardhouse in the Avenues that has a cultural hall that doesn't look like a cultural hall (ie no basketball hoops!) and I'm hoping my ceremony will be at Memory Grove. It just depends on if my photographer is willing to have a gap in time.

I actually want to elope to Southern Utah and get married in Zion National Park, since my fiance and I went to school together at SUU and I feel like it's an important place for us, but he won't have any of it :( so Salt Lake for us!

Count me in! We are having our ceremony at the Tuscany restaurant and reception at a family members property. Very small ceremony (immediate family and a couple close friends) ... then all of the relatives (there are a billion) and aquaintances (parents friends) at the reception. :)
