@Gemma83:  I think everyone just carries (and grows) differently. I am 15 weeks tomorrow and mine is already an inch below my belly button (and I am long waisted so there is quite a distance between my pelvic bone and belly button!) but all the books say that it should be just emerging from my pelvic bone.  Doctor told me it was perfect though so I think it’s ok either way.  If you are worried, though, just ask your doctor.

Mine is just at, maybe a little above, my belly button – I was measured yesterday and Im 23 weeks but measuring 24 – i’m carrying really low though and can feel legit kicks really low too! Have you had an ultrasound yet? I think if there was some conern your doctors would have brought it up.

@Gemma83:  I’m 19 weeks and I can’t figure out where the heck my uterus is, but I was a but ahead of schedule last time I was measured. But I wanted to let you know that all the movement I’m feeling feels relly low (like at the very bottom of my bump), and a friend of mine who is due at the same time said she feels the same way.

I am definitely carrying low and it just seemed like my bump stayed low forever!  I thought it didn’t reach my belly button until a couple weeks maybe after the 20 week point (based on how my bump looked and attempts at feeling for it), but it turned out I was wrong.  When my doctor did my first belly measurement at 22 weeks, the top of my uterus was getting up close to my ribs (measured at 26 weeks)!  I had absolutely no idea it was so high.  So, I wouldn’t worry too much about it now, as like pp have said, everyone grows differently.  Good luck to you!
