Vacation anxiety… will I still be a waiting bee when I come home??

Ack, I hope he proposes so you can stop worrying! I don’t have any good advice though. I had an idea more or less when my husband was going to propose. One day he out of the blue asked if we should go into the city to see opera in the park, which he knows I love. I was immediately suspicious. The whole week leading up to it and the whole morning I was looking for clues and then disappointed when it looked like I was just getting excited for nothing, then reminding myself to enjoy the day no matter what. It’s frustrating (but in a fun, exciting way). Anyway turns out he proposed that day so I was on track with my suspicions. I hope the same happens for you!

I would try not to think about it anymore so that you don’t get your hopes up and then become disspointed.  You know the proposal is coming, he probably just wants to give you a bit of a surprise and perhaps is planning the way he is going to do it.

My SO said he was thinking about proposing on our cruise in march… it didnt happen. We had an AWESOME cruise!!! It was the best time. He did take the opportunity to ask my dad for my hand then! However, he proposed last week, when I was least expecting it and it was absolutely perfect. You are at the point where it will come. Its not an if, its a when. Enjoy your vacation, if you don’t come back a fiance you will still come back a happy, relaxed lady!!

MsKnitter:  It’s hard for sure! I think I kinda made our time off from work last week a bit tougher than it had to be near the end of it because I’d thought for sure it was coming…and it never did, and I’m still waiting.  I think it’s okay to ask him to let you know ahead of time as I wish my BF would have told me…takes the anxiety of hoping out of the equation! Good luck, sounds like you may end up luckier than I!

At least it’s a matter of when instead of if!  Enjoy your time with your family and try not to think about it (yeah, right, I know)
