i totally recommend The Outlander, and there is a whole series if you become intrigued to continue which i have no doubt you will!
ETA: its by Diana Gabaldon
I so reccomend the Hunger Games series! Good pick! I just started the series 3 days ago and I am already on the 3rd book! I couldnt put them down!
If you enjoy The Hunger Games, Unwind by Neal Shusterman is amazing.
If you like the Women's Murder Club series (love!), you might enjoy anything by Allison Brennan.. The Prey/The Hunt/The Kill or Fear no Evil/Speak no Evil/See no Evil
I love the hunger games series. I really do, but they dont seem like "beach reads" to me. They're violent and had me openly crying more than once. Honestly they're a bit depressing. Interesting and suspenseful, yes, but any story whose primary plot is children murdering each other just doesnt scream "beach read" to me. For the beach, I recommend 13 little blue envelopes or girl at sea by Maureen Johnson. Both are fun, interesting, quick reads,About traveling to exotic lands but not as juvenile as they're cover art implies.
If anyone read the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants books, the last one just came out and I really enjoyed it.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone! :) Keep em' coming! I'm downloading as much as possible to load up my nook, cuz with 12 hours of flights (there and back total) I'm gonna need something to keep me occupied!

So I leave for vacation on Friday and am loading up my nook with books for the flights and for the beach... I love mysteries, murder plots, legal thrillers, etc.
So far, I have the following:
Anyone have some good suggestions I may have missed? I want a good selection while I'm in Mexico, not sure what I'll be in the mood to read, so I want to ensure I have choices!
