@MissTexas21: I got my guy a personalized romance novel this year (ustarnovels.com). It's cheesy but I figured it would be hilarious for us to read together on the phone or Skype. ;)
I usually buy the same kind of gift I would get on Christmas or his birthday, but in a much cheaper price bracket (since our anniversary is only a month later).
Last year I made my FI a coupon booklet full of coupons he could cash in (free back massage, night on the town, your choice of movie, stuff like that). He thought it was cute but never cashed any in :( I enjoyed putting it together though. This year he is a few states away and all I did so far was send him with a package with a note not to open before Feb 14. He gets is a card and a chocolate heart... we'll probably do something when he gets back... guys are SO hard to shop for!
