Hello FellowBees....

This is actually my first official post!  So excited to be here....and even more excited to say....that my fiance and I are getting married....in two weeks!  We are planning a destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico on July 4, 2012.  We wanted to get married legally at home (his Mom is not travelling with us and we did not want the run around in translating our documents).  We intially we going to do it on March 1st (our 4 year anniversary) but....when I ca and most importantly...for insurance purposes....he is a contractor and needs the benefits) I called the township clerk, I was informed that our County Clerk is doing free weddings on Valentines Day!! Instead of us just going to the courthouse, the township will have the weddings at a mansion (actual wedding venue) in our area. At first I thought it was hokey to get married on Valentines Day but....then I thought....how cool it would be to have 2 wedding days!  Also, my birthday is 2 days after Valentines Day (16th) and then my soon to be hubby's birthday is 2 days before the ceremony in Mexico (July 2nd).....Lots of celebrating!!!! My mom is even excited although both my parents are traveling for the ceremony in Mexico.  I want to look very nice but I do not want to wear a gown....any suggestions Bees?

So....I will officially become....Mrs. Long!!!

@Ms Hedgehog:  Awww...Thanks Ms. Hedghog! That is a great idea!  I am super excited.  My MOH is even going to come down to be there for us.  I wanted to make it extra special since my FMIL wont be at the ceremony.  Thaks for your input!

Hello Bees!

Thanks for all the great ideas.  I am 8 days away and have yet to find anything.  I was getting close to saying I'd wear something I wear to work...nice dress and call it a day...but I want to look special so I am not going to give up!

@Mrs.Ouellette:  Congrats! Mrs. Ouellette!  How does it feel?  I have been with my fiance for 4 years this March, engaged for almost a year and I feel like I am married now....SO....DOES IT FEEL DIFFERENT? 

@Juliepants:  I actually considered a red dress and would get a nice bouqet of white roses...but I cant find one that does not make me look like a harlot....LOL!  I did see a few nice red dresses at Lord & Taylor but....I am so against spending $$$ for a dress with all of our other expenses....I wont give up!!! Thanks for the suggestions!

I found my dress!  FINALLY!!!  I ended up getting a red dress from Macy's.  After searching every store in the mall...the last stop was at Macy's.  I almost missed it too.  It is Ralph Lauren V-neck (front and back) fitted dress.  Very sexy but sophisticated.  The best thing is...IT WAS ON SALE!!!!!  I always make bee-line to the clearance rack and I saw many red dresses...none that I liked or in my size.  Because of the neckline and how it was hung...I missed it at first.  I tried it on and BAM!!!!  I knew it was my Legal-V-DAY dress!  YAY!!!

Hello Bees and Happy Belated Valentines Day!

I was busy yesterday....Getting Married!  YAY!!!
