@crr219191:  I’m giving my FI a Roots wallet. His current wallet is falling apart so I thought it was a good idea.

We don’t exchange gifts for valentine’s day, but usually my go to gifts for DH are cigar or booze related. Nice cigars, lighters, cases, or nice beer glasses, liquor glasses, bar tools.

I keep notes year round so when it comes gift time, I already have a list of options. Anything he might have mentioned lately that he needed? I guess guys like practical gifts, the cliche would be wallet, tie, cologne, or watch. Is he in need of any of those? Last year I got mine a little keychain of a character from a movie that he said reminded him of me, so I’d always be with him (super cheesy) and this year I’m getting him a harmonica because he loves old westerns and he’s been wanting to learn an instrument.

@crr219191:  Anything going on in the area he might enjoy? Concert? Exhibit?

I am getting tickets to a CIA spy exhibit at The Regan Library that he really wants to go to. Sushi dinner and some yummy goodies. Possibly a cake… Also debating on a concert, but I think that would more be a present for me! haha

I bought my FI some trainers (sneakers) for V day. Not romantic I know, but it’s what she likes. She’s not really into hearts and flowers and things like me! Plus her birthday is four days before and she’ll be turning 30, so I’m getting her loads of stuff for that because I felt that is more important this year haha.

@crr219191:  Our anniversay is in March…wedding in May…and I did a budoir shoot for FI’s groomsgift so I already told him that I don’t want us to do gifts for Valentines day or our anniversary since its so close to the wedding…he agreed and said that seems fair.  But I ordered him some chocolate covered strawberries and a giant “romance” fortune cookie to be delivered to his work.

@crr219191:  I’m giving Mr. H an Adidas gift certificate so he can customize some new tennis shoes. I’m going to include a little card or something that says, “If we are going to be together every step of the way, you are going to need new shoes.” Lol. I’m also doing a gift certificate to our favorite tattoo parlor so he can get some work done on his half sleeve, and I’m making him an invitation/personalized coupon for a month later: steak dinner at a nice downtown restaurant and a bj for Steak and BJ Day. I think he’ll love it, lol.

I like the good old tried and true: chocolates, champagne, flowers and greeting cards.

Oh and lots of candles, and a romantic dinner out somewhere.
