    So I need some advice!

Background:: FI & I always thought we were going to get married on Valentine's day. We started officially dating & were engaged on Valentine's Day-so it's "our day". We then thought we'd be getting married this next Valentine's Day. Our parents (mostly mine) weren't really comfortable with us getting married then because of school-so we swtiched it to August 14th and picked colors to go with a summer theme: fuchsia & light yellow.

I still want to incorporate Valentine's Day somehow into the wedding since it's a really important date to us--and by us I mean me. I thought of adding in some purple as another accent color-and use violets to do this (when he asked me out I got a roses are red, violets are blue poem), and want to use the conversation hearts somehow-either on the table or somewhere else.

Any ideas on how I could include Valentine's things without changing the colors?

    Thanks!

I think you could definitely incorporate it with your colors--fuschia is a good Valentine's color! What if you named all of your tables after the sayings on the coversations hearts? You could make menus or escort cards look like Valentine's with cut out hearts pasted on a lace background. Incorporate the violets and roses in your centerpieces along with the poem. I think you can still get a Valentine's "feel" without using pink and red!

How about strewing sweet heart candies on the tables?

    Thanks guys!

We're planning to do the table names as the names of islands in the 1000 Islands-where we're going for our honeymoon.

I like the escort card idea!

Another thing-I am using a lot of daisies because we adopted a dog whose name is Daisy, so we'll be using a lot of those. They should look good with roses & violets though.

Yeah-I hate doing this, but I would appreciate more ideas! I love what I've gotten, but if any of you have some more creative ideas let me know!
