My office is littered with junk food today – donuts, cookies, cupcakes, and candy for Valentine’s Day. I HATE IT.
I have lost 58 pounds since last June and I’m really tempted by sweets, and I hate them being only feet from my desk. I wish they would be put in the kitchen area by our coffee pot, not in the commons area which is right outside our offices. It makes it hard, ya know?!!
I know it’s a stupid thing to worry about, just venting to a non-biased source. 🙂

I hear you, that would be suPer hard!
I work from home and my mom gave us a pile of chocolates last night and they are sitting in my kitchen taunting me.. I want to throw them all out, but I think my husband and my son would kill me! Lol

Donuts are like my kryptonite. Do you have any photos of you before you lost the weight? Maybe you should pull one up and look at it to remind yourself how much work you’ve done.

I’m with you! I have lost about 20 lbs and literally just got to my goal weight this morning!!!! I get to work and 5 people have already offered me sweets I feel terrible saying no, so I have already consumed half a cookie and threw the other half away! Good luck with the rest of Valentines day, and CONGRATS on 58 lbs!!!!

@MrsD41503: Do you have a friend at work that can help keep you accountable? Sometimes I have a hard time too so I’ll say, “I don’t want to eat any of that. If I make a move towards it, can you remind me I said this?”
Can any be moved to the kitchen? I sometimes do that too.

@MrsD41503: Congrats on the weight loss. I am currently trying to lose weight to fit into my dress. The work peer pressure is HARD. Be sure you don’t deprive yourself though. Our office ordered in sandwiches yesterday from one of my favorite places. Well, I usually got a cookie whenever I ordered. And the bread is the best part so I have them leave the bread in (they usually tear out the middle to fit all the stuff in). Well I went ahead and ordered a sandwich – NO cookie and had them take the extra bread out. I made sure to drink Crystal Light with it – no pop.
If you are able, find something small and take it to your desk. Eat it slow and make sure to savor it. It might help a little with the cravings. If I deny myself, I end up making up for it (plus some) a few hours later.

Thank you for ths support! I do not have anyone in my office who is mindful of health food like me and it really sucks on days like today (and Halloween was tough, too). I plan to get some carry away food tonight so I just keep reminding myself that I’ll have a sensible lunch soon enough and a nice dinner later and I will only feel like garbage if I give in now. I’m not even hungry, I’m just feeling tempted!! I texted a friend at another company who is also having tempations with sweets today and she said we’ll hold each other accountable and give a check in text at noon and once at the end of the day. That might help me out. 🙂

@MrsD41503: hmm sometimes in that situation I think about how I’ll feel after when I pig out – not good haha. Maybe just have a little chocolate or something!
