    hi there,

the idea of a wedding co-op isn't new, it saves brides money and allows multiple users access to items to re-use.

Specifically, I'm looking to purchase a cupcake tower, but they are pricey! Since cupcakes are becoming a popular option these days, I figured there must be another Vancouver bee getting married next summer (or a few!) who would want to go in on a tower with me. Then we all pay a fraction of the price, and we all get to use it for our weddings.

I am also going to be ordering some preserved orchids from Save-On crafts and creating floral cascades for decor. Maybe you also have ideas that I'd be interested in!

Since my venue includes table, chairs, linens, etc., I'm not renting those things. But that's another area where wedding co-ops are great. A few brides go in on purchasing the items, all use them, and at the end can re-sell, and end up having paid next to nothing for everything!

If anyone is interested in this, let's talk.

Sounds like a good idea but I'm having a destination wedding so I'm not in!  Hope you find some brides to share with.

btw, this is the cupcake tower I'm interested in, and I want to decorate it myself, in my colours (although their vine things look cool!)

have to find a US address to ship to, just across the border. They don't ship to Canada, and their partner company is pricey.

Good idea but maybe the cupcake tower isn't the most reusable item. I have used them for baby showers and they are usually mucked up with frosting. They are only made of cardboard. You can buy them at Michaels locally.

You can register at Hagens in Blaine to get a US mailing address. They email you when your package arrives.

OH!! I am getting married just a couple weeks before you and I am also looking for a cupcake tower.

Even better, I'm signed up with one of those border shipping companies which you can ship your package to and they'll store it until you come pick it up - I think they charge something like $5 for using their services.
