@DeeVine1217:  Yes! Huge variance dependent on country. My Pronovias dress is double the price (when I convert it to $US) than what it is in the US. Bit dark about it but there’s very little I can do here 🙂

@DeeVine1217:  It’s not even within country only a store sold me my dress for 1600$ less than another one 40 minutes away smh it’s crazy. They were willing to “negotiate” and only drop it down a $ and it was a difference of 900$ still a BIG difference so i went with the cheaper place which gave me the dress of my dream for a better deal 🙂

@DeeVine1217:  yes it highly depends on the competition in the area, if a shop can get away with charging more they will

That’s crazy! I would have expected Canada to be way higher. On all the dresses I’ve checked out it is. But I guess that’s the flagship premium. I bet a Pronovias from a regular boutique in the US is cheaper than Canada still.

I loved an allure gown at one boutique; it was $1699 + $200 for my custom length. At another shop only 30 minutes away, it was $1400 + $50 for the custom length.

$1899 vs $1450 is huge!

My dress was $600 more at a shop closer to my house. We got them to price match though! I didn’t want to have to drive an hour for alterations and preferred the shop closer to me.

Has anyone shopped Pronovias or Rosa Clara in Spain? I am curious what the US markup is…

@DeeVine1217:  I want to do this, but don’t know if I’ll get the chance. I have a feeling they will be a lot there still.

I found my dress (San Patrick Calais) at the first store I went to, but wasn’t ready to stop shopping.

The next store I went to initially said they didn’t have the San Patrick Calais, but I tried on a different dress (that coset $1000 more…) that made me start to second guess myself.

At the last minute the manager said, “oh wait, we do have the Calais, it was just in a different room!” and I tried it on and started crying, knowing it was what I would wear while marrying my fiance.  The kicker is it was $300 less at the second store, plus they gave me 10% off for buying it on my first visit to the store, plus the veil I tried on there was $75 (vs the $300 one at the other store – no, the more expensive one wasn’t silk or anything…) and I liked it more – so I ended up getting a much better deal!
