So the FI and I are going to Vegas in a few weeks!!! No, not to get married (I think?! Heh.), but to celebrate my FSIL’s 40th birthday! We’ll be there for a long weekend, Fri to Mon, and I was wondering if you guys had any budget-conscious ideas and advice of things to do and see and eat while we’re there!

Try to avoid cabs if at all possible! It gets expensive reaaaaaaaaaaal quick. Take comfrotable walking shoes. And also think about buying the all-day bus pass. It goes up and down the strip.
There’s plenty of fun and cool things to do and see without paying any money…Like going into each mega-hotel. All of them are beautiful! Check out the arboretum in the Bellagio, as well as their fountains! It really is gorgeous! Also the Venetian has gandolla rides for I think $15 a person. It’s romantic and really cool! The MGM has a live lion exhibit, and the New York, New York has a roller coaster.
There’s also M&M’s world. Which is free to walk around. And downtown vegas which has Freemont street. Definitely cool to see at night.

yay vegas!! my husband and i are actually going with my cousin and mom in december. we’re actually leaving on christmas day! i would say to eat cheap. eating is always the biggest spending for us on vacation, so we’re only going to eat in restaurants once maybe twice. and only bring as much money as you are willing to loose for gambling! i put my debit card in the room so that i can’t go to the atm if i run out of black jack money for the day 🙂

That’s a fantastic idea about leaving your debit card in the room! We actually have to sell tickets to a show we were originally going to go to before we planned Vegas, so if we make some money off of those, we may just use that as our gambling money 😉 And I’m psyched to try some (cheap) In N’ Out burgers. I will start eating red meat again for them!
