I’ve fallen in love with a sailor in the US Navy. We just got engaged yesterday, but we’re already planning a quick elopement in Vegas, in case he gets deployed or transferred soon. Is there any kind of ettiquite or anything like that I need to know? Also, any recommendations for getting married in Vegas?

Best of luck to you, honey. I fell in love with a Marine after dating for three months. He asked me to marry him and two days later we ran off to Vegas and got married on a Friday night. That was almost 30 years ago. Love him more today than ever before. Wishing you years of happiness and love.

We just eloped to Little Chapel of the Flowers (littlechapel.com). We purchased the package that included the limo tour of the strip for a monday at 7pm for about $600 sticker price, which included 18 4X6″ photos, a live webcast of the ceremony, a 12 rose bouquet for me and a bout for him, and round trip limo service. It was really nice since we did not want to focus on planning this event and they took care of everything.
Items of note:
The sticker price DOES NOT include gratuity for minister ($60), photog ($30), and limo driver ($40)
They tried over and over to sell me on spending $99 to take extra photos around the grounds, which I did not pay for but they did anyway and the photos were pretty good.
Price of photos to take home was VERY expensive! $10 per 4×6 print (on up), $95 for a single digital negative, $995 for half of the digital negatives…YIKES
Went back the day after to pick out photos and they were 30-40 minutes late getting us into the appointment and we had a plane to catch. It was nerve wracking.
Other than those items we had a great experience, and of corse are now hitched!

PS even my senior citizen aunts and uncles watched the webcast, so having that was nice considering that we didn’t invite anyone to the event.
