If you’re not really big party people, then definitely go with the beach house. People go to Vegas to party, not to check out exhibits.

future.mrs.koban:  2nd that if you aren’t big party people, Vegas is not for you. The “exhibits” available to see are at best afterthoughts sprinkled among the non stop partying. I’ve been more time than I can count and am pretty over it. If you are into pools, shows like cirque du soleil,  and super fancy dinners, it can still be fun, but again…it’s about the partying. It’s also INSANELY hot during the summer, like over 100 degrees, so there is also that.

islandlily84:  Disagree wholeheartedly. We loved Vegas, and we didn’t really party at all! We had fun trying out some slots and gambling, but that was only a few times. We saw lots of shows, went to exhibits, the wax museum, ate at a bunch of really cool places, did some shopping… it literally had something to do everywhere we went.

future.mrs.koban:  I voted Vegas because i think there is stuff to do for everyone!! I go there as often as my bank account permits LOL.

You don’t have to be a heavy partier to enjoy it. I have mormon friends that LOVE to go to vegas haha. There are exhibits, AMAZING shows, cool casino lobbies, shopping, rides, buffets. It is cool to just walk around, there are still casinos i haven’t even been into yet and sooo many shows. i try to do something new everytime i go.

however, if people are joining you it may be easier for everyone to go to the beach vs. everyone paying for flights.

future.mrs.koban:  are your friends and family up for the big trip and paying additional expenses (additional compared to Beach House) or will it be more of a “hey we are going here and if you can join us, then come!”

My SO doesn’t drink at all. We don’t go clubbing unless we are with a group of friends. We do enjoy gambling, but if that was all we did we would be broke very fast LOL. Don’t be afraid to use the “tix4tonight” booths for shows and dinners. You can only buy tickets the day of, but we have never had a problem getting the ones we wanted and always got them for a GREAT price. We a few comedy shows and a hypnotist show last time we visited.

How long would you be going? My family rents a beach house every summer for a week, and I am bored out of my mind by day two. That being said, I’m way more of a partier/Vegas girl myself. Just keep in mind that while he may love the beach you may be chewing your own arm off from boredom (there are only so many hours a day you can swim) and that will make it considerably less fun for you both.
