I'm throwing a shower for my veggie loving sister and I thought it would be fun to have a vegetable garden shower. My mom has a nice backyard so we'll have it there. I have some ideas for it, but I'd love to hear some more!

You mean bring her plants as gifts? Or tomato cages/garden tools? Things like that? Is this for her wedding or something else?

You could incorporate the theme of cooking to make it more accessible.  Guests can bring cooking/kitchen themed gifts and the decor/invites can be vegetable/cooking themed.  Put flowers in water pitchers for centerpieces, use colorful linens that the bride can take home with her, have a salad bar, seed packets for favors, etc.

That's an amazing idea! You could make bunting out of seed packets too. There is a great book called The Essential Kitchen Gardener by Frieda Arkin that basically just talks about the kitchen uses for every plant you could ever think of. That could tie it into cooking a la what @inspiredcreationsbyhaley: is saying.

@smyley: I meant more of the theme for the party, like for decor and food. She'll have a registry for people to find gifts for her.

@inspiredcreationsbyhaley: Thanks for the ideas, I love the idea of using something that she'll be able to take home with her!

@HisIrishPrincess: Those are beautiful! I love the carrots and hummus and watermellon cake, I think I'll have to use those!

@MsJeep23: Your bunting idea sounds fun, I think I'll try that too!
