I’m working on planning our delayed honeymoon… we’re hoping to go to an all inclusive, preferably adult only resort in the Caribbean or Mexico for 7 nights <$5000.
Both FH and I are vegetarians so we’re hopeful to find somewhere that is truly vegetarian friendly instead of a place that advertises that they are and thinks a plate of iceberg lettuce is acceptable 🙂
Can any of you give me recommendations based on personal experience?

Hey! FI is vegan and I am not, so we were worried about him finding food at all-inclusives in Mexico.
We went to the Royal Decameron in Nuevo Vallarta last year and he had NO problem finding lots to eat at the buffets. We tried an a la carte once and there was nothing for him to eat on the menu and they weren’t flexible with excluding ingredients. So I’d say as long as the all-inclusive has lots of buffets you should be okay.
When reading reviews for Secrets Maroma Beach (which is where we will be honeymooning), someone mentioned they had a friend who was fluent in spanish type up a letter detailing what they don’t eat. They printed it out and would hand it to their server at the beginning of their meal at the a la cartes just to make sure everything was clear. Apparently they had no issues using this method so we’re going to try it too.
Hope this helps!

I think the ressort Msr.Snow stayed at sounded vegetarian friendly. It was in Mexico and I think it’s called Zoetry. Maybe you want to look up her post for accurate information.

FI just got back from Palm Island in the grenadines. They always had good vegetarian options and the chef is super flexible. We had a great time. Contact them and have them send you menu samples!
