I glued ribbon to the comb and sewed the veil to the ribbon.

I cheated a bit and glued the comb with three dots of hot glue, then sewed the entire thing with clear thread.  I couldn’t get it centered right with just sewing, which is why I used the hot glue.  I covered the top of the comb with a piece of ivory ribbon, so you can’t see any stiches or glue.

I didn’t DIY my veil, but the comb is sewn on with clear monofilament thread (like fishing pole string). You can find it at fabric stores.

I just used white thread to do sort of a whip stitch around the top of the comb.  It was super easy.

I wrapped my comb with ribbon, and then pinned it where I wanted it, then I handstitched it with very tiny stitches. Be careful if you use glue. You don’t want it to go somewhere you don’t want it too. Also, if you use glue, if it gets humid or hot where you are storing your veil, the glue could melt and separate the comb from the veil.
