MsGinkgo:  I bought a couple on Ebay.  They have 3″ and 4″ metal combs.

Beauty supply stores should have them too.  Or ask at a salon.

I loved making my own veil.  I got exactly what I wanted at a fraction of the cost.  However, I waited to attach the comb/pins/barret until my hair trial.  That way I was able to fit the veil to my hairstyle.  After the trial, it only took a few minutes to attach.  I actually used a comb for the blusher part and a barret for the cathedral part.  That is what worked with my hair.

It depends on how you plan to wear your hair and how you want it attached, but you may not need to attach a comb and either some pretty hairpins or simple Bobby pins may hold it on just fine. I didn’t attach a comb but bought some pretty hair pins and my veil held on all night long (I didn’t plan on taking it off).

MsGinkgo:  My veil is actually two pieces since I don’t want to wear the cathedral length one all night–which is why I attached it to a barret (and of course that is what works with my hairstyle).  The metal combs work well too, unless you are wearing it low, close to your neck.

Did you check ebay for them?

Most craft stores have them.  Many put some by the wedding items, and also by the jewlery making items (check both places).  Joann fabrics sells them (online too!)

MsGinkgo:  Or maybe call them and ask! It was in such a small package that I totally would have missed them if it wasnt for the sales lady.
