So I have a question guys. We have decided we are doing a first look. In an effort to not have Fiance see my entire look at the first look, I’m thinking about not wearing my veil for the first look. My photographer said she would be totally okay if we did a few pictures of me with the veil just by myself. Take it off do the first look, then wear it again for the ceremony.
I’m just worried that I’m going to regret not having pictures with him for the first look with the veil, even though I’ll have pictures of just me with the veil? Have any of you guys done this before, how do you feel about this idea?

I only wore the veil during the ceremony…..
I would say that 90% of my pictures are without the veil…..
I really loved the way my hair looked on my wedding day and I really did not want anything to hide it.

I really don’t think the veil will make much of a difference in him seeing your whole look. Most guys really don’t care about that stuff. I’d just wear it.

I didn’t know what to do either because I LOVED my cathedral veil!
The photog said I should either wear the veil for all pictures before the wedding or not wear it until the ceremony. We were doing indoor/outdoor shots for our first look and it would have been a pain (and would have messed up my hair) if we kept taking it on and off for different shots.
So I opted to keep it off for formal shots and first look and wear it for ceremony, cake cutting and reception dinner. I think it was the best choice for me!

I am going to wear mine for the first look and formal portraits and the ceremony. I will probably take it off right after because people acidentally rip it out of your hair when they hug you and I don’t want that to happen in the reciving line.
