What are your plans for your veil? Let’s share inspiration pictures for our veil, hair, and dress. Married bees and planning bees are welcome!!
I’ll start with my ideas so far.
1) Dress – Stock pics for now. Will post better pics after my final fitting!
2) Hair – Low bun with a flower comb.
3) Veil – I’m thinking about going with a sheer cathedral veil, either with a raw edge or horsehair edge to match my train.
Please share! 🙂

No veil. Actual dress and shoes purchased, inspiration hair – using regular stylist, planning on a flower crown similar to whats pictured. Considering real flowers but concerned about being chased by bees in the park. 😣

My dress –
I debated a lot on what to do with my hair but I finally decided on a loose bun.
And I was also debating on the veil but my FI said he wanted me to wear one, so I am borrowing my friend’s cathedral veil and wearing it only for the ceremony. Mine will only have one layer though.

2. Drop Veil (except w/ a raw edge)

I am doing a separates look from BHLDN and my veil comes from there as well. For my hair I will do loose curls to one side, and the vine crown nestled just behind the bangs.

angelinagonzalez : wow! Just wow!
austinbound : I totally see your look together and it’s so young and pretty looking. Love it.
Heres what I did

beaniebee : I love your inspo looks! My question is how are you planning to do the flowers in your hair like that with the veil? Have the veil on the underside?

Love all these veil that are either drops, or secured to the top of the head so as to cascade over the shoulders,
No criticism/offence etc intended, but I never quite see the point of the ones attached like pony tails to the back of the head/

elderbee : I have a veil like that, I got it because if it covered my shoulders I thought it would distract from the detailing on the neckline. I know I don’t have to have a veil but I have a lot of scarring on my back and it’ll help hide it a little. I do prefer the look of drop veils though.

I absolutely love seeing how everyone’s pictures, especially the married ladies on the day of their wedding! It makes me happy to see all the different styles of veils, dresses, and looks here. I feel like I keep seeing the same styles on Pinterest so it’s refreshing to see such variety here.
kcwilson11 : Thank you!! I’m not quite sure yet how I’m going to handle that yet. I haven’t been able to find any pictures to see of a veil + flower comb combo, from the back. I’m going to assume that my hair stylist is going to attach it to the bottom of my bun so that the flowers aren’t covered.
angelinagonzalez : Every time I see your pictures, it makes me want to get a drop veil like yours. You look gorgeous and the look is so romantic. Can I ask you a few questions? Was it difficult to see? Did your husband lift your veil over your face after you walked down the aisle or at the end of the ceremony before the kiss?

I had originally planned for my veil to be attached at the crown but in the last minute decided to lower it so the weight of the veil wouldn’t flatten my ‘do. I’m so short compared to the hubby. The top of my head barely reaches his shoulder on a good day, so I opted to have a bit of added height with heels and big hair, lol.
