veil help

posted 1 month ago in Beehive

i originally didn't feel like i needed or wanted a traditional veil...so i went the cute and somewhat trendy route, and got a beautiful hairpiece made by twigs and honey with an extra little blusher birdcage to go with it. but now the more i think about it, the more i kind of want a long simple veil for the ceremony. yikes!

i did try on a few veils with my wedding dress that did sway me over to the other side, but no way am i dropping a few hundred on the veil, especially since the dress itself was a minor splurge. so now i'm looking for recommendations for places to get an affordable veil. my optimal veil would be a single layer, chapel length with no embellishments. i did some searches online but i'm really not sure who is reputable and who isn't...if other bees have experiences with any of these online retailers and can speak to quality, that would be extremely helpful.

thanks!

I would check out www.etsy.com

I found a few links you can check out.  Most sellers will have some feedback listed if they have been around for a while.  And, if you have time before the wedding, most will alow you to return items that weren't what you were expecting.  AND you could also ask for something custom if you don't see it.

If you don't find what you like already on display, I would go to the alchemy and post a request - it's great!  You will get tons of bids on people who can design it for you.

 Alchemy: http://www.etsy.com/alchemy/

Veil Ideas: (around $30)

Best of luck!
