So I fell in love with a 1-tier cathedral veil in ivory at NY Bride, but it is $300.00 which I would rather not spend. It’s ivory, has just a cord edge (pencil) and is CASCADING. It’s 3 meters long. I cannot find one like this anywhere else, since their seamstress actually designed it. I see a million of them like this but with lace edges. Any ideas??? Thank you!!

This may not be helpful if you’re not crafty but you can totally make a veil yourself – much more cheaply than buying it. My friend made her veil for her upcoming wedding – two tier with lace edges and all the materials cost her $60. My other friend’s mom made her veil for her, too. Both said it is super easy. I am the least crafty person in the world so it all seems like wizardry to me. But if you are handy, then maybe it is an option!?
Otherwise, Etsy might be a good place to start looking for cheaper alternatives.

try googling “cascading cathedral veil” & it comes up with sellers from ebay, etsy and others. cascading is also known as waterfall cut or angel cut.
