Just for the ceremony...I don't want to have to worry about it during the reception while I'm shaking my groove thang!
I am wearing mine just for the ceremony (it is my mom's veil - 28 years old and survived a house fire and a minor flood) if I trash it I will never live it down!
I am leaning towards an elbow length veil that I can wear for the entire wedding...the way I figure, I'm only going to get married and wear the veil once, so I want to make it last.
honestly I havent decided yet! I think Ill just go with how I feel!
Just the ceremony! I am getting married in a catholic church, and I have to cover my shoulders... and a veil somehow counts for covering my shoulders lol otherwise I probably wouldn't wear one!! It seemed like a better alternative than covering up my dress with a bolero.... as soon as that ceremony is over, the veil comes off :)
I will be wearing the veil just for the ceremony. If you opt to do that, be sure to let your hair stylist know so they can show you how to take it out without ruining your hair.
@ jackie: me, too! It just makes the whole look. :) I'll never get to wear one again, so i don't want to take it off! Of course, if it ends up getting in the way, I'll take it off.
Just the ceremony and a few pics after! I am going to switch to either a birdcage veil or a big hair flower for the reception :)
ceremony only. I've been trying not to wear it altogether, but alas mommy won the battle. hehe
Just the ceremony. My veil is my something borrowed. My best friends and another friend, both were Maggie brides in diamond white. I will be the third one to wear it.
I wore it for both. However, if I'd had it to do over again, I don't think I would have worn it for the reception. My head got rather sweaty with the veil on it the whole time.
I'm only wearing it for the ceremony. I plan on getting a cathedral length drop veil so I am sure I would be uncomfortable if I wore it the whole night.
I'm wearing a cathedral veil for the ceremony and an elbow length for the reception. I figure there is only one day in my life that it is acceptable to wear a veil, so I want to wear one as long as I can!
Ceremony only I think. I'm leaning towards a chapel length veil and that would be a disaster at the reception- not only am i naturally clumsey, but trying to shake my groove thang in something that long is an accident waiting to happen!
I wore it for the ceremony, and I switched it to a comb with tulle and feathers for the reception.
Im wearing it just for the ceremony but I got one of the $20 blushing veils from davids bridal that I cut short to wear during the reception or maybe just when we have our send off- haven't decided yet. It looks cute and flirty!
Veil for just the ceremony then a bird-cage-ish hair piece for everything else. What can I say-- I couldn't have just ONE hair piece!! =)
I've been to a few weddings where the bride left her veil in and everytime she went to hug someone, her head got pulled back a little bit. Just a word of warning to those of you leaving it in! It looks gorgeous, yes, but may still be a huge pain in the neck - literally!
I'm wearing my veil for the ceremony only, then sliding in a pearl comb for the reception (have to find that!)

Just out of curiousity:
Are you wearing your veil for the whole event or just the ceremony?
