So I’ve never been a veil lover- they always seemed to go with a more traditional, formal bridal look, which is SO not me! I always assumed that I would just wear some sort of fancy headpiece instead. BUT when I started looking into the wedding thing I discovered Juliet cap veils, which I immediately loved. One in particular I saw on Pinterest and finally tracked down to the Etsy store:
I think I will take the plunge and buy it- the only thing is, I can’t decide on what length! I’m thining fingertip, but I’m not sure. I want something that will go with my dress and not take away from it. The dress itself isn’t too busy, except for the tiers. I’m having my dress made for me by a local semastress so I don’t have pictures, but here is an inspiration pic:
My dress will not look exactly like this- it will have cap sleeves, it’s ivory and there will be no embellishments on the bodice. The tiers will all have lace on the bottom.
What length veil do you think would best go with a tiered dress like this? Like I said, I was thinking fingertip- I like the idea of a full length veil but I don’t know if that’s “me”, or too formal- the wedding is going to be (hopefully) outside and the venue is fairly “rustic. I feel like chaper or catherdral length is out automatically since I can just picture that dragging around outside.
I’ve put all the available options in the poll- let me know what you think!
