None of those include patterns (and two are for netting birdcage, although using Tulle shouldn't be too much different), but they all seem to just kind of swathe and then trim, which is what I'm hoping to do, personally. :)

my advice? do an emergency "alchemy" custom-item request on Etsy.com, and request a one-week turnaround for this veil, in the tulle/illusion of your choice. one of the Esty veil makers can do it in a snap, i'm 100 percent sure!
Thanks ladies. I tried again last night to no a-veil (I'm hilarious). I'll take a look at what daydreamwanderer posted, then I'll probably try Etsy. I feel like such a failure. This is the DIY project that I've not been totally impressed with myself.

Hi ladies, I was wondering if anyone has a pattern for a blusher similar to the one in this pic?
I've always liked the idea of a birdcage veil, but I don't think the netting matches my dress, so I decided against a veil all together.
Last week (BTW I get married in two weeks) I decided I would attempt to make a blusher out of tulle. It's not nearly as easy as I thought it would be. Anyone have any advice?
This photo is from the Sara Gabriel Web site. My inspiration is the one on her ads-- you know all over the Martha Stewart magazines. It's got the woman who looks like she's from the 40s. Dark red lipstick, winged eyeliner.
Anyhow, help?
BTW, I should change my name to don't go noles because they have been playing like they're scared of the red zone.
