The headpiece is ok, but I don’t think it would tie in with your dress, and I don’t think coloured jewellery would work with the headpiece or the dress. I really think crystal/rhinestone jewels and headpiece would work with the beading on the dress. You could always switch out the veil for the headpiece after the ceremony if you wanted something really “statement-y”.

I love the look of headpieces worn with a veil. I actually considered doing it myself but I just never could find a headpiece or side tiara that really struck my fancy. Since your veil is pretty plain, you can definitely go that route without it being too much.

I was in the same position as you–bought a veil on impulse with my dress and then had regret because it just wasn’t dramatic enough, somehow. (The veil was a fingertip-length cut edge unadorned piece of tulle, which is so not me.) My mom kept saying I didn’t need anything more elaborate than that because my dress had a lot of beading so I ended up compromising and getting a floor-length veil. Luckily the bridal salon let me have a refund on the veil I originally ordered because I canceled it before it shipped.

The only thing I would caution against is too many different colors and accessories. I’d ether go with a statement headpiece or some bold jewelry, but not both. A pop of color is awesome against a white wedding gown, as long as it’s just one color or maybe shades of the same color. What are your bridesmaids wearing (if you have any)?
